Round trip Marrakech – Sahara – Fez – Chefchaouen – Meknès – Marrakech : 14 Nights

After breakfast you will explore the beautiful historic city under the guidance of an English-speaking guide during a half-day tour. Visit the old part of Medina and the new part of Guilliez. Take a seat in one of the restaurants and cafes and enjoy the delicious taste of Morocco. Be sure to try some Moroccan dishes, such as tagine or couscous. In Marrakech you will see the famous Djemaa El Fna square, the medina with its maze of souks, the Sadian tombs, the Bahia Palace and the Koutoubia Minaret. Marvel at all the sights and imagine yourself in the fairy tale of 1000 and 1 nights!

The coming night you will stay at Hotel La Gazelle du Dades (or similar) Get up early today, because the transfer will pick you up at 7:30 am for a long drive. During the drive to Ouarzazate (approx. 3.5 hours drive) you will make a stopover at Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou (included). This is the most picturesque town in Morocco. This place is often used as a film setting for well-known films and series such as Game of Thrones and Gladiator. At 2:30 PM there will be a stop to give you the opportunity to have lunch in Ouarzazate. This city owes its fame to the fact that the largest film studio in the world is located in Ouarzazate. You continue the drive (approx. 3.5 hours with 2 more stops) to today's final destination: Boumalne Dades, where you arrive around 6 p.m. Boulmane Dades is located in the Dades Valley. This place is not only a beautiful backdrop of mud houses and brightly colored rock walls; it is a rich cultural and historical center in the country. In Boumalne Dades you have several sights such as the Jewish Tiylit Castle, The Rose Valley, the Kasbah of Mohdach and the Dades Gorges. Tonight you can enjoy a delicious dinner at the hotel (included). Please note: the ride goes through mountainous areas and may therefore take longer than you expect, so take plenty of water with you

The coming night you will stay at Bivoac Nacer Palace (or similar) You will be picked up again at 8:00 am for the next long ride. Along the way you will first have 2 stops and at 2 p.m. you will have the opportunity to have lunch in Kalaat Mgouna. You will arrive in Merzouga at 5:00 PM. After a 1-hour camel ride you arrive at the overnight location. Tonight you will stay in a large tent in the Sahara with a shared toilet (no shower). This evening dinner in the desert is also included. Tip: take a small backpack with you. You cannot take your suitcase into the desert . Please note: the ride goes through mountainous areas and may therefore take longer than expected. Be sure to take enough water with you for the journey.

The next 3 nights you will stay in Riad Les Chifis (or similar) Once you have enjoyed breakfast it is time to continue. You will depart again by camel to Merzouga and from there the ride will continue towards the next destination: Fez. There will be three more stops along the way and at 2 p.m. you will have the opportunity to have lunch. You will arrive in Fes around 5:30 PM.

Today, after breakfast at 10 a.m., an English-speaking guide will be waiting for you to show you all the beauty of Fez and tell you about it in 4 hours.

Today you have plenty of time to discover Fez on your own. Visit the medina of Féz, you will be amazed! Wander through the small and narrow streets. The city is known for its craft. You will find tanneries, painters, weavers, potters and much more. The scents and colors greet you. Don't forget to enjoy the view from the rooftops of Fes!

The coming night you will stay at Casa Familiya (or similar) In the north of Morocco lies a hidden city called Chefchaouen. The transfer will be ready at 9:30 am to take you here (drive of approximately 4 hours with 2 stops). In the fairytale old medina, almost everything is painted blue. There are turquoise stairs and azure tiles, along sky blue walls and cobalt blue doors. Despite everything being blue, no street or building is the same. Here you can take beautiful pictures with your camera, because this is perhaps the most photogenic place in all of Morocco.

The next 2 nights you will stay in Riad Dar Alkatib (or similar) On day 10, the journey continues at 9:30 am to Meknès, one of the four royal cities of Morocco. But first, after a drive of about 3 hours, you will make a stop at Volubilis (entrance and 1 hour visit with English-speaking guide included). This was once an important Roman trading city in Morocco. Today, the best preserved ruins are located here among mountain hills surrounded by olive groves, cacti and green fields. At 2:00 PM there will be a stop for lunch and you will arrive in Meknès around 3:30 PM.

It is a lot smaller than the other royal cities, but that gives it a relaxed atmosphere. During a half-day tour with an English-speaking guide you will discover, among other things, that Meknès is surrounded by kilometers of mud walls. The impressive gateways to the medina are well known. The Bab Mansour is the best known. In the evening, visit El Hedime square with various stalls, fire eaters and storytellers. Also visit a Koranic school, a beautiful building with many beautiful wood carvings and typical Moroccan mosaics. The 17th century Royal stables are also worth a visit. This is where the sultan housed his 12,000 horses at the time.

The next 3 nights you will stay at Riad Zanouba in Marrakech (or similar) A long ride ahead today. You travel back to Marrakech at 9:30 am, a drive of approximately 8 hours with 3 stops along the way. You will arrive at your hotel in Marrakech at approximately 6:00 PM. For the next few days you will stay where you stayed the first few days.

On one of these days you will visit Essaouira (3.5 hours round trip. Please note that you will be away from 8:30 AM - 8:30 PM on this day). This charming fishing village on the Moroccan coast is completely dedicated to peace and relaxation. Here you have come to the right place in the local hammams for steaming, scrubbing and soaping. Here you will find luxurious hammams that are more like a spa to traditional hammams where things are a bit simpler. Fans of Game of Thrones are also in the right place, because some scenes from the popular television series were filmed here. Essaouira is also called Wind City of Africa! This means that you can (learn to) windsurf or kitesurf very well here. There is wind here all year round, making it the most favorable location. Would you rather be less active? Then get some fresh air on one of the beautiful beaches or visit the local harbour. The other day you have free time to rest or possibly go out on your own. On the day that you are not going to Essaouira, you can explore Marrakech further or try to get your last souvenirs.
